![]() Its twin goals were to highlight and discuss the trail, cycling and walking initiatives being undertaken in Haverford Township, and to inspire and promote similar initiatives in neighboring municipalities. ![]() The Haverford Township Department of Parks and Recreation and the Friends of Haverford Trails began co-hosting a “Trail Summit” in 2013. The summit is FREE and all are encouraged to attend. Each year we review progress, identify opportunities to improve walking and biking, and prioritize and help plan continuing trail connections in our communities. The summit will once again focus on trail and on-street bicycling/pedestrian improvements and plans throughout our area. It will be co-sponsored by the Friends of Haverford Trails, Haverford Township’s Parks and Recreation Department and Delaware County’s Trails Alliance. The 11th annual Western Suburbs Trail Summit will be held in person on Saturday, Februfrom 9am to Noon at the Community Recreation and Environmental Center (CREC) building in Andy Lewis Community Park in Haverford Reserve in Haverford Township. ![]()
